Menzel Meets Blossom

Tuesday, May 31, 2011 ·

When you think Idina Menzel, you think Rent or Wicked, maybe Glee — but after July 2, you might also think The Cleveland Orchestra. On Saturday, July 2, the Broadway singer appears with the Orchestra for an opening-night concert and benefit for the Orchestra’s new Center for Future Audiences. Endowed by the Maltz Family Foundation, the Center is the first in a series of Centers of Excellence planned by the Orchestra. It's designed to break down barriers to attending concerts by The Cleveland Orchestra.

Make plans to hear Menzel sing from her new album, I Stand, and reprise Broadway favorites with The Cleveland Orchestra. You can attend just the concert (tickets start at $23 for the Lawn), which includes the Orchestra’s traditional performance of patriotic orchestral music to celebrate the Independence Day weekend. Or take your evening to another level with before- and after-parties by attending the benefit. No matter which option you choose, the fireworks – always stellar at Blossom -- are included!

Check out Idina Menzel singing with the New York Philharmonic.
