It’s Franz Welser-Möst a decade ago, when he officially took the podium as Music Director of The Cleveland Orchestra.
Were you there for the first subscription concert that Franz conducted in his new role?
It was Haydn's Creation, with a stellar cast of soloists: Malin Hartelius (in a gorgeous debut by the soprano, who has since become a Cleveland Orchestra regular) alongside James Taylor and Thomas Quasthoff.
Malin returns on Oct. 6 and 9 to perform in Mozart's Mass in C minor ("The Great"), with Franz conducting.
