Violinist Katherine Bormann loves the Northeast Ohio snow. Percussionist Jacob Nissly has played rock, country, reggae, and hip-hop. Ying Fu wields a ping-pong paddle when he’s not playing the violin.

And violinist Jeffrey Zehngut’s first impression of The Cleveland Orchestra? “It’s been everything I was hoping for, and we’re not even in Severance Hall yet.”

The four new members of The Cleveland Orchestra were profiled in a Plain Dealer feature on Sunday, Sept. 18. The new season begins on Sept. 29.
