Photos from Cleveland's 9/11 Concert

Thousands of Northeast Ohioans gathered at Public Square in downtown Cleveland for The Cleveland Orchestra's 9/11 Commemoration Concert on Sunday, September 11, 2011.

The afternoon's events included readings by winners of the Maltz Museum of Jewish History's 2011 “Stop the Hate” essay contest and a procession of safety forces from the Western Reserve Fire Museum.

The Orchestra’s concert, conducted by Loras John Schissel, also included performances by the Cleveland Firefighters Memorial Pipes and Drums, the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, Cleveland Orchestra principal trumpet Michael Sachs, and WCLV President Bob Conrad, as well as presentation of colors by a Combined Safety Forces Color Guard (Police, Fire, EMS) and a Joint Services Color Guard (Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, Coast Guard).
